Granites
Granite is one of the most durable and hardwearing building stones, formed through the slow crystallization of magma deep within the Earth's crust. It is an intrusive igneous rock with a coarse-grained, dense structure and a specific gravity of approximately 2,600 to 2,750 kg/m³.
Common granite colors include black, gray, red, pink, green, and white. Thanks to its high hardness and durability, granite is widely used for flooring, staircases, countertops, high-traffic paving, elevator walls, and building exteriors.
Granite can be finished in various ways, including polished, flamed, honed, leathered, and bush-hammered. It is available in tile and slab formats. Due to its exceptional resistance to wear, heat, and chemicals, granite is also a practical choice for high-traffic and industrial areas.
